While running his own sign-writing business Michael saw a demand for unique, attractive ways for business's to relay ever-changing messages. He begun experimenting with different woods and finishes and the result is Chalkit's beautiful range of boards.
Chalkit boards, footpath stands and table talkers are all made by hand here in New Zealand using locally sourced materials where possible. They are all made with recycled timber or macracapa and then finished with either tung or linseed oil to produce a rustic finish.
